At the Stadium Louis II in Monaco, the key management system proxSafe flexx of the deister electronic GmbH is used. Now there is no mistake about who has taken which key at what time – day and night. It is always transparent which key has been removed and returned.

So far, the key issue proved to be costly and time consuming. The gate keeper had to be relieved of this administrative burden. There was a need for tamper-free removal and return of keys which should be transparent and above all recorded automatically. These requirements are fulfilled by the key management system proxSafe flexx of deister. There are individual slots which are usually locked and only released after identification.
Athletes, security personnel, cleaning service and technicians normally receive the keys they need for the offices, gyms, locker rooms and other leased premises during events at the gates. Thanks to proxSafe flexx, the key issue and return supposed to be much easier now at Stadium Louis II.
The automatic management and logging has been proven to be safe. The operation of the system proxSafe flexx is very simple. The keys are electronically connected by a keyTag. After successful identification of the operator, the respective key slot illuminates. This way the user is navigated to the appropriate position and can release the key which is needed. The system operates currently around 500 slots and manages approximately 1,800 individual keys.
They are attached to the electronic keyTag by a key ring and a one-time seal. The keyTag gets clearly identified at each removal and return. proxSafe systems are using RFID technology that allows contact-free automatic identification and localization of objects. According to deister, contamination and wear of the slots are excluded as there is no contact between keyTag and electronics. Meaning, breakdowns or failures belong to the past. All moving parts are designed to be robust and are intensely tested for long-term use.
The key cabinets from deister are flexible. They can be installed at any other place, as well as expanded or reorganized.
